Retirement is wasted on the old. First up…
It’s Complicated
The older someone is the more complicated everything gets, from walking up stairs, to exiting the bathtub, to squeezing out a fart without accidentally evacuating their bowels.
Fortunately, the over the hill individuals in this middle-aged rom-com don’t have to worry about fortuitous BMs, because they’re still at the constipation stage.
When a divorced couple, Jane (Meryl Streep) and Jake (Alec Baldwin), attends their son’s college graduation, old passions are reignited. Desperate to recapture what he lost, the now re-married Jake pursues his former spouse, who’s eager to feel desired. But things get complicated when eligible divorcé Adam (Steve Martin) enters the picture.
Custom-made for the menopausal, It’s Complicated delivers the goods: the performances are passable, the premise is straightforward, and the jokes are old age appropriate, though younger viewers may find it a tad dowdy.
As for the allure of sex with an older woman: goodbye uterus, goodbye condoms.  0
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
The best part of performing in a traveling theater company is that you get to experience the finest rotten fruit and vegetables that a region has to offer.
And while the roving thespians in this esoteric adventure aren’t in it for the catapulted clumps of compost, they could use the food.
Performing nightly on the streets of London, Doctor Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) and his cast lure unsuspecting onlookers into the imaginarium – an ethereal environment where dreams become reality.
During their travels, they encounter the amnesic Tony (Heath Ledger), who becomes their new barker, and helps Parnassus collect enough souls to repay the devilish Mr. Nick (Tom Waits).
Conceived by Terry Gilliam, TIODP is a return to form for the quixotic director, who weaves a surreal tapestry that will perplex and polarize viewers.
As for losing your soul during a live performance, I thought that only happened at Disney on Ice.  0

The Philadelphia Story
Finding love after divorce is complicated. So, instead of carrying around the stigma of divorce, fix your spouse’s brakes and opt for widowhood.
Unfortunately, the socialite in this screwball romantic comedy chose to become a divorcee, and is now facing the repercussions of her decision.
On the eve of her marriage to a new beau, Tracy (Katharine Hepburn) must contend with her ex-husband C.K. (Cary Grant), who’s been blackmailed by a gossip rag to invite a journalist, Mike (Jimmy Stewart), to cover the wedding. Meanwhile, much to her chagrin, Tracy’s younger sister pursues C.K., while a drunken liaison between Tracy and Mike sets off C.K., who still harbours feelings for his ex-wife.
Based on the theatrical play, The Philadelphia Story is a mirthful matrimonial misadventure about the promise of recent, rekindled and relinquished love.
As for solving the problem of too many suitors, simply move to Utah and become Mormon.
